CHARACTER - Ivan "Boris" Chtgheglovski
Boris. Ivan. Chtgheglovski. What can I say?
Initially, I did not base him on any particular person. But after I started thinking about him around the Rest Area time, I stumbled on porn star Mike Radcliffe. Muscular and a Marine, with the pissed off look to boot. I researched his films, watched some of them over and over and over and over and over. If ever this is made into a video, I could not imagine anyone else doing the role. The only problem is that I have never seen Mike top, and he would need to with Dan.
Initially Boris was just another Marine. I wanted Dan to be lent to him in order to have Boris have fun with Dan. Dan would then have an issue with Tate lending him out to a severe top. Tate would have realized his mistake and promise not to do it again.
Boring. I knew I had to change everything; make everything darker.
I only made him Russian as I saw a really hot bodybuilder by the name of Boris. It seemed to fit. I made his last name damn nearly impossible to pronounce. I looked up common Russian names and saw Chtgheglovski and had to have it. I wanted Boris referred to as Boris as Marines would have had an issue with Boris's last name so they would have come up with a nickname.
I included Boris in the video on Day 2 because I wanted to plant the seeds for the events later as early as possible. This caused a problem. I was going to make him homophobic. The problem was that he was in the video. Tate had already hinted that Boris participated in sex with the slave. I couldn't make Boris completely homophobic. So I made him almost, but gay out of necessity. He hates gays but will fuck them when his dick needs it.
I loved how he came to rescue Dan at the bar not to defend Dan, but to protect Tate's property. He has a strong sense of loyalty to Tate. It was designed to show Boris in a positive light. But even he had to fuck that up.
