TOPIC - The Women Readers of Sgt Tate

It may come as a surprise that a number of women have read 12 Days with Sgt Tate.  I find it very interesting that they have followed a gay S&M raunch love story.  For this blog, I decided to find out more about this seemingly contradiction.

I sent out a few questions to one fine lady, Tisha who responded to the questions:

How would you describe yourself? Liberal open minded fat black woman

Do you identify yourself as lesbian, bisexual, or straight? I am straight

Why do you read gay porn? for the romance, the love, the sex and the plots

What drew you to 12 Days with Sgt Tate? The name of the story

How do you identify with the male / male sex? well in a way when I was [Dan] and having anal sex. But I think it is the forbbiden fruit aspect of seeing and reading about it.

Anything you would care to add to your thoughts above? Not at this moment. Just wished the story did not have to end.

About half way through writing the story, I asked Kristen "I don't get many women writing me, so I am curious.  What about my story draws you in?  What do you like about it?"  And I got her answer:

First: Sgt. Tate and his uniform
A man in uniform is just ....
HOT!  Come on, the way you explain every detail of his attitude and dress is a huge turn on. Makes you feel he is standing right in front of you! Great job on that description. And I'm not just talking about your attention to they way his uniform is pressed, or his stance when he salutes. No the way you describe his aura is very powerful and sexy as hell.

Second: Dan
I like the submissiveness of the boy. His confusion come across very well; but at the same time you know that it doesn't really matter to him. He loves his man and just take the confusion as his own fault. A fault that he must over come if he is to get what he needs. There was one point where Dan lets Joe kinda get to him.... I found the scene necessary even though it really pissed me off. LOL. Dan is a very interesting character who is flawlessly written. I hope to see how he grows in the future.

Third: Pig Play
Even though pig play doesn't really do it for me personally... I find I am able to read through those parts with out skimming. And still able finish the section; without getting so grossed out that I don't want to continue the story. Now you need to know I'm not talking about the humiliation part, but the PIG play. That's pretty important. I even understand how important it is to the story. (
There's not that much of it anyway.) It is just some added spice that plays into the humiliation part of the story. As well it seem to be a very important part of what Sgt. Tate is looking for in his boy. What lengths will this boy go to have me as his man??? That kind of thing. For Dan I find it's very important for his growth. He needs to learn he is allowed to like the things that are depraved, as long as it's what Sgt. Tate wants of him.

Fourth: the Gay Sex....
This may or may not shock you...(LOL) But a lot of women are into watching or reading gay sex. Just like a lot of straight men are into lesbian sex. Now most women don't really know why they are but I'm going to tell you! Shhh it's a secret! (LOL)
First we enjoy the male body... not in the same way as gay men. We don't really think about the shape of a penis, or the body hair, or anything specific. We like the over all picture. But that just a different view point. It doesn't mean that it doesn't get us going. In gay sex it's twice the pleasure because there is twice the men! Make sense? Also there is something forbidden about it.
Women will never know what it feels like to have a penis! No matter how much we wish for a 24 hour trial run. (*Giggle* P.S I would totally masturbate first! Fuck that peeing in the snow shit.) So being able to kinda understand what a penis feels like threw your words is a forbidden pleasure. Also we can learn how to give great Blow Job's.( have to learn something new every day :)) Next man on man sex is more primal then other types of sex. I personally like to tap into that. Not saying straight sex is not primal... but it never reaches the point that gay sex can. I'M VERY JEALOUS. (probably because it something I can't have.) Plus gay men always make sure there partner is fulfilled in some form! ( I hope this is true????) It's much harder with women; straight men really just don't give a shit. Most likely because they just don't understand women and find it frustrating to fail all the time. Even Dan is fulfilled even though he hasn't cum. He's servicing his man. And his Man knows that's what he needs. Last but not least is the relationship aspects. Once agin women will never go through the problems and frustrations that a gay male does. We have our own difficulty that we must go through; but I got to say it's really boring to read straight romance. THERE ALL THE SAME! They never have to really look deep into themselves to fix their problems. Fighting who they are and overcoming it, is not a big part of a straight relationship. It's more about the selfish desire to be loved. It gets old quick.
So that's why I read/watch gay fiction. :)
Ok where was I????? right....

Fifth: BDSM
I am a switch in the BDSM world. And NO I can't switch every other night like most... (*
rolls eyes*) Usually I Dom for a number of years, then find a need to sub for awhile. So on many levels I understand both of your characters and where they are coming from. I laugh at Dan's confusion; knowing full well that Sgt. Tate is trying to make him go in a certain direction. I feel for Sgt. Tate. He really has hope that Dan will be the one he need's but; I can sense his fear that this is just another useless endeavor. I love Sgt. Tate's ingenuity! And Dan's true submissive thought patterns are wonderful to read. ( It's makes me want to be able to look inside my subs head just for an hour. LOL)
The power of the Dom it
true. It's in his every action and every thought. The want to please is in all aspects of the slave as well. This is a very hard thing to write. You do it very well.
